Book Excerpts

I hated the look I got when I showed someone an item from the Solar Calendar, only for them to look at me like I had lost my marbles. I wasn’t even sure if she could see the book, or just that I was writing in the funny language.

This was the part I hated. Explaining the Solar Calendar to someone who had no clue about it. Once he realized that it worked, he would try to use it for something dumb

“The Christians were determined to take back the area. When King Ferdinand of Aragon married Queen Isabella of Castile, their kingdoms united. That unity helped drive out the Moors after more than 700 years of occupation.”
